Open to the public on the 26th August 2020, VE Group successfully delivered approximately 15km of roadway construction on Three Chain Road Project for Anglo American. Three Chain Road was an existing road reserve traversing between Gibihi Road and the Dawson Highway near Moura, Central Queensland.
The project also involved the construction of Memorial Road, an upgrade to the existing road to the miners memorial and new section of road up to a carpark and lookout over the Anglo American Dawson Mine.
With the construction of 11 culvert structures, import and placement of over 130,000 tonnes of gravel, covering over 120,000 square metres of spray seal, asphalt placement, guardrail installation, over 190,000 square metres of topsoil spread and hydro-mulch, VE Group delivered a product to be proud of within the local community.
