VE Group AU is a Transport Logistics, Civil Contracting and Project Solutions Company looking for a Maintenance and Parts Coordinator to join our Maintenance Team at the Riverview Depot. VE Group AU currently services several industry sectors including urban development, transport infrastructure, and resources. VE Group AU service our projects throughout Queensland, with a late model fleet of transport and civil equipment.

VE Group AU Maintenance and Parts Coordinator role would suit someone who first and foremost aligns to our core values and has a solid background in coordinating transportation operations to optimise efficiency, safety, and client satisfaction. The role’s primary objective is to ensure seamless maintenance operations by managing the flow of maintenance parts, service scheduling and inventory within the company. The role involves coordinating with various departments to optimise inventory levels, minimise disruptions, and uphold fleet and asset quality standards.

This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organisational and communication skills. The Maintenance and Parts Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring uninterrupted maintenance and efficient operations, contributing to the overall success of the company. Further, detailed requirements are in the position description which is available on request.

The role encompasses the following responsibilities:

  • Maintaining preventive maintenance schedules to prevent equipment breakdowns and reduce downtime.
  • Maintaining optimal inventory levels while minimising excess stock and obsolescence.
  • Collaborating with multiple departments including Maintenance, Asset Management, and Operations to ensure timely parts availability.
  • Addressing unexpected challenges such as equipment breakdowns or urgent repair needs by quickly sourcing necessary parts and coordinating repairs.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Proven experience in parts and service scheduling, preferably in transport and civil.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in fleet and maintenance management software and MS Office Suite.

You are an experienced collaborating with multiple departments and communicating effectively with suppliers and with strong experience/exposure to the transport and civil industry. You are a team player – someone who is passionate about logistics management with solid, practical skills and knowledge in developing operational performance and capability.

You will thrive on balancing the immediate demands of meeting daily operational requirements while navigating the intricacies of inventory management, maintaining compliance with regulations, and fostering collaboration across various departments to achieve operational excellence headed and down to earth with exemplary standards of ethical conduct and professional judgment with a positive, resilient, curious and goal oriented nature.

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role delivering cohesive arrangement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a proven capacity to engage stakeholders at all organisational levels.
  • Proficiency in contract management, procurement, and strategic planning.
  • Current and valid car driver’s license mandatory
  • General Construction Induction Card – essential
  • Competent in Microsoft Office suite and highly skilled in relevant industry IT systems.
  • Your strong interpersonal and communication skills, combined with your understanding of the importance of effective communication and relationship-building within the business, will be invaluable assets in this role.
